1967 SHELBY-AMERICAN GT 500
Rare 1967 Shelby GT500 "Showcar" 4 Speed - This is one very cool Shelby Mustang. Signed by Carroll Shelby, John Force, and Parnelli Jones. It was in the Ford display in New York for the launch of the new 2005 Mustang, and represents one of the finest examples of a period correct, 1967 Shelby GT500. It was built by Cobra Automotive, a world class restorer of Shelby Mustangs. Here are some pics of this VERY unique Shelby GT500. It is a twin Paxton supercharged car, identical to the engine in the "Supersnake" Cobra that sold for $5.5 million dollars at the Barrett Jackson auction this past January. Below are some pics of the car at the Ford display at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC. There are also pics of Parnelli Jones and John Force signing the car.
